Today marks the two-year anniversary of Rosa's and my life together. Hooray for possibly the best decision of my life so far! We have celebrated with some roast chicken. Rosa tells me it's the one true cat food.

Rosa doesn't seem so itchy anymore, and has much less dandruff. And it looks like, possibly, her tummyfluff is starting to grow out again. :) Yay better air humidity!

It turns out that there is free internet onboard the train. It also turns out to be a train with lovely, gorgeous old cars with wood panelling and plenty of baggage space. I asked one of the conductors and the cars are from the mid-60s -- slightly older than me. (Though retrofitted since, of course.) The new high-speed trains that SJ run on this ( Read more... )

I'm close enough to done with the new reticule that I can probably finish it on the train tomorrow. When I arrived in Gbg yesterday and made my way to frualeydis's home, I found out about the terrible thing in Norway, which had happened while I was on the train. It seems so unreal, nothing on this scale has happened in Scandinavia since the second world war. I may have found a catsitter! I asked the people from whom I adopted Rosa if there were any other people in my area that had adopted cats from them, and it turns out that there is an elderly lady right across the street from me who has recently adopted a boy cat, and who said she didn't mind looking after Rosa for me. Friday: Went to Sjöbo for the big country fair, with bracke, nazgman and the Seamstress. It's a huge country fair and it took us around six or seven hours to walk through it all. I got myself a mandoline vegetable slicer and a beautiful Tibetan (purported) yak wool shawl (although I haven't yet tested the fibre).
